How We Treat

Hands-On Care

Spinal and joint mobilization/manipulation, soft-tissue/muscle release, cupping as needed, and neural mobility work to reduce pain and restore motion.

Targeted Exercise

Specific activation, mobility, and strengthening programs you can actually stick to—built around your pain triggers, goals, and schedule.

Adjunct Techniques

When appropriate: acupuncture/dry needling, taping, ergonomic/posture coaching, and self-management strategies for long-term results.

Note: We tailor techniques to the individual; not all techniques are used for every person.

What to Expect

  • Initial visit (45–60 min): History, exam, movement testing, diagnosis, and your first treatment.
  • Follow-ups (20–30 min): Progress check, hands-on care, and exercise progression.
  • Plan of care: We outline frequency and milestones; most people notice meaningful improvement within a few visits.
  • Home program: Simple exercises that fit your day and speed recovery.

Chiropractic FAQs

Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a chiropractor?
No. In Ontario you can book directly. If your benefits plan requires a referral, our front desk will advise you on what to bring.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the condition and your goals. After your assessment we outline a clear plan with milestones; most people notice meaningful improvement within a few visits.
Do you offer direct billing to insurance?
Yes, we can submit to most extended health plans. Please bring your policy details to your first visit.
Do you work with my lawyer for MVA claims?
Yes— with your written consent we regularly coordinate with local personal-injury lawyers and share required documentation to support your claim.
Do you treat TMJ and headaches?
Yes. We assess contributing factors (neck, jaw, posture, muscle tension) and treat with manual therapy and targeted exercises. Learn more about TMJ physiotherapy.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic is regulated in Ontario. We screen for risks, explain options, and use the most appropriate, least-force techniques for you.
Will I be adjusted on the first visit?
If it’s appropriate and you consent, many people receive their first treatment on the initial visit. We always discuss options first.
Do I need X-rays?
Not usually. Imaging is only recommended when medically indicated. If needed, we’ll refer you through the appropriate channels.
Can I see a chiropractor during pregnancy?
Yes. We use gentle, pregnancy-safe techniques and can coordinate care with your midwife or physician if needed.
How long is the first appointment?
Typically 45–60 minutes for history, exam, diagnosis, and first treatment. Follow-ups are usually 20–30 minutes.
